COUNTINEWS.CO.CC-Everyone’s favorite flute-playing, stepbrother-humping wackjob Jenna (Tammin Sursok) meddled hardcore in Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra’s (Ian Harding) relationship on the Feb. 28 episode of Pretty Little Liars, prompting Aria to come clean about “the Jenna thing.” And that was the LEAST dramatic thing that happened this week…
Hanna & Caleb:
Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are still going strong as a couple, but their future as housemates looked bleak when Hanna’s mom (aka the enemy of young love) discovered he’d been staying in their basement and sent him packing. Hanna obviously wasn’t ready to say goodbye, so she followed “The Cat in the Hat” (I love that her mom calls him that) into the night for a little urban camping — which is really just a nicer way of saying “Caleb is homeless.”
Hanna admitted she went to fat camp for five summers, while Caleb opened up about the mother who abandoned him and the father he never knew. Not exactly a fair trade-off, but their personal issues quickly took a backseat to their raging hormones. Yes, my friends — Hanna and Caleb did the dirty right there in the woods.
At the end of the episode, Hanna’s mom (Laura Leighton) decided to step it up and be awesome by inviting Caleb to stay with them. Of course, her invitation came with a stern warning. If Caleb does anything to hurt Hanna, Ashley will strike him down with the power of a thousand lightning bolts.
And wouldn’t you know it, the minute Ashley and Hanna went to bed, Caleb called a mysterious stranger and said “I can’t do this anymore. I’m out.” Who is he working for?!
Emily & Paige:
Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) had a secret restaurant rendezvous, where Emily admitted to being in love with Alison (Sasha Pieterse.) Throughout the conversation, Emily also discovered she prefers “ballsy women,” before joining Paige in a rousing karaoke rendition of Pink’s “So What?” Paige may not be ready to admit she’s a lesbian, but her choice in music says it loud and clear.
The lay-days share a second kiss outside the restaurant, this time it was considerably less uncomfortable, and even followed it up with an afternoon picnic. But don’t get your hopes up for a “Pemily” romance. Emily told Paige she wasn’t willing to only spend time with her in private, so she ended things before they got too serious.
Spencer & Toby:
Tired of her parents thinking she’s bananas for accusing Ian (Ryan Merriman) of killing Alison, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) decided to join Toby (Keegan Allen) at the infamous (and totally sleazy) motel of room 214 fame. They butted heads over a game of Scrabble, but then Spencer saw Toby without his shirt on and everything became A-OK again. These girls, I swear…
And speaking of “A,” Spencer and Toby discovered a recording of Jenna’s haunting flute playing in — wait for it — room 214! The shocking discovery was followed by a not-so-shocking kiss between the two. (And it’s about damn time.)
But the happiness was short-lived. The police showed up at Spencer’s crib and took her into questioning, after learning she and Ian had been romantically involved in the past. Melissa (Torrey Devitto) also revealed that she and Ian traveled to Hilton Head to have an abortion (awkward!), providing Ian with an Alison-free alibi.
Girrrrrl, you’re in trouble now!
